Kiya Music said on Monday, "Byul and Na Yoon-kwon have recently joined forces for the new project album series "Legend Duet Project."The two will release the project's first duet song 'Let's Break Up' at 6 p.m. on May 5, it said.
The meeting between Byul and Na Yoon-kwon is all the more interesting in that it is a reunion of the main characters who have left behind the gem-like duet songs in the K-pop scene.
The two made a hit by releasing a duet masterpiece called "Hello" in 2005, and were spotlighted as a legendary duet in the K-pop scene in 2008 with their second duet song "Leaving the Window Open."Both songs have been considered an unforgettable duet among music fans, sweeping the top of various charts.
Despite the long-cherished desire of fans to reunite singers Byul and Na Yoon-kwon, their new duet song was rarely introduced.In the meantime, there have been various suggestions, but there has been no duet project that captivates the hearts of the two.
The new song "Let's Break Up," which recalled the legendary duet for the first time in 14 years, is a song by renowned composer Oh Sung-hoon.After hearing the demo song of "Let's Break Up," Byul and Na Yoon-kwon willingly decided to start working on the duet after 14 years.
"Let's Break Up" is a song that features composer Oh Sung-hoon's unique emotional ballad melody line, and realistic lyrics about an old lover delaying the moment of separation and breaking up for a while are expected to captivate listeners.
"In the first duet in 14 years, Byul and Na Yoon-kwon once again showed outstanding skills," Kiya Music said. "We expect the two to prove why they have long been loved as the main characters of legendary duet songs."
The new duet song "Let's Break Up," released by Byul and Na Yoon-kwon for the first time in 14 years, will be released on an online music site at 6 p.m. on the 5th.
