"Hansan: The Appearance of the Dragon," a sequel to "The Admiral: Roaring Currents," has confirmed its release in late July 2022.
"Hansan: The Appearance of Dragons" (Director Kim Han-min, Produced by Big Stone Pictures) is a war action masterpiece about Admiral Yi Sun-shin and the Joseon Navy's "Hansan Sea Battle" five years before the Battle of Myeongnyang.
"Hansan: The Appearance of the Dragon" is the second of the "Lee Soon-shin Trilogy Project" organized by director Kim Han-min, "Myeongryang," which was released on July 30, 2014 and set the No. 1 record for all-time box office in Korea at 17.61 million.The "Hansan Battle" (July 8, 1592, lunar calendar), which is the setting of the movie, is one of the world's greatest naval battles in history and the first battle to win the biggest victory in seven years of the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.
Veteran staff of Bigstone Pictures, which has so far produced well-made war films such as "Myeongryang" and "Battle of Bongodong," and director Kim Han-min will recreate the turtle ship's performance in the Battle of Hansan and its strategies for academic advancement on the screen with a new and in-depth perspective.
Along with Park Hae-il as Yi Sun-shin, "Hanshan: The Appearance of the Dragon" completed the cast of veteran actors such as Byun Yo-han (Wakizaka), Ahn Sung-ki (Won-kyun), Kim Sung-kyu (Jun-sa), Kim Sung-kyun (Kato), Ok Taek-yeon (Jun-young), Gong Myung (Lee), Park Ji-hwan (Dae-yong), and Cho Yoon-na.
The film "Hansan: The Appearance of the Dragon," which will be presented by director Kim Han-min and the original crew of "Myeongryang," will meet the audience this summer.
