Solar is back with a new face.This time, Kim Yong-sun is not a member of MAMAMOO, but a solo artist.His expression of the new album, which he stressed was "100% the best satisfaction," was full of confidence.

 

Recently, Solar had an interview with iMBC Entertainment to celebrate the release of her first mini-album '容: FACE'."Yong: Face" has a total of five tracks, including "RAW (low), "Honey," "Chop Chop," "Big Booty" and "Jingle."

Solar, who said in the newsletter, "I put everything I wanted to do.""Yong: Face" is the first album in about two years since Solar's first solo single "Spit Out" released in 2020.

"I didn't listen to many people around me when 'Spit it out' was released," Solar said with a smile. "This time, I filled up what I lacked.It is no exaggeration to say that RBW's soul has been changed.It's an album that everyone worked together to make.In particular, the title track "Honey" is a bone-breaking one," he stressed.

"Honey" is a song that Solar participated in writing and composing herself.Just as honeybees bring honey to the queen bee, they contain the story of "people seduce me sweetly."

 

As refreshing vocals are an advantage, it also broke the public's expectation that the title song would be a ballad.Solar said, "I thought hard about it, but many people liked my bright charm," and added, "Now I know that it's a bright and positive image for myself.That's how it became a song with a lot of spectacular performances.

Also, 'Honey' is special because you can hear Solar's rap, which has been hard to access.Solar said she remembers Moon Byul's reaction to MAMAMOO's rap position."It seemed like Moon Byul was a little wary of me rapping," he said. "It seems like I'm looking at it as a life."

Not only in the rap but also in the concept image, I could see Solar's challenge.The dress, which is made of newspapers, emphasized a unique and unconventional concept.

"It's not until I'm over 30 that I know about myself," said Solar. "I know I'm a person who likes to challenge."Solar thinks, 'Shouldn't we try one more thing and die?'I don't like something I haven't done.When I was young, I think any challenge would look nice and pretty.It's my values to challenge when I'm even a year old."

 

Putting his face at the forefront of the album concept was also part of the challenge.The album's name "Yong: Face" was made from the Chinese character "Yang" by Kim Yong-sun, Solar's real name.

"I've liked the word 'dragon' since I was young.Doesn't everyone look different?It means that everyone is valuable and precious," he said.

"His face expresses the paths he has taken," said Solar."I'm a bright, carefree face," he said.I always try to think positively."I think this is how the album was expressed because I've walked that path," he said.

The part that focuses on album preparation is the face."I was obsessed with my face a lot," Solar said. "It also shows me when I was Solar and when I was Kim Yong-sun.The charm of this album is my various faces, and that's the charm of this album."

 

Strong confidence in her face soon became the reason for her album satisfaction."I'm 100% satisfied (with the album)."It's an album made by raising my peak.I've always had regrets while doing MAMAMOO activities, and this album is so satisfying," he repeatedly said.

Standing in front of fans with an album with 100 percent satisfaction, Solar said, "I want to be a singer who makes me feel better when I listen to it.""There are so many good songs, but I don't think I can listen to them because I don't know they've been released.So do I.But I hope many people listen to this album.I hope it will be an album that will make you feel better and comfort you," he said.
